The screenshot you
can still change.

You press your shortcut, drag a frame around the part you want to show, and draw an arrow on it. Press Return and the finished image is on your clipboard.

Saltix over a project table: a red box around one row, an arrow pointing at it, the toolbar underneath.

Editable to the end

The arrow is off?
Just drag it further.

Whatever you draw stays an object rather than being burned into the picture straight away. So you can still move an arrow, recolour it or take it away again for as long as the capture is open. The finished image is only made when you press Return.

Several annotations side by side: a selected box with a dashed outline, a yellow highlight and two numbered markers.

Redaction

When you blur something,
it is really gone.

Plenty of tools just put a grey bar over the spot, and anyone who opens the file can read on underneath it. Saltix genuinely removes those pixels instead, so nothing of them is left in the finished image.

A name column in a table: three names blurred at the top, three pixelated below, with one row left readable in between.

While you drag

You can see what you are hitting.

A loupe magnifies the area under the pointer and tells you the size in real image pixels, along with the colour as a hex code. If you need a whole window, the frame snaps onto it.

Privacy

Saltix knows nothing about you.

There is no account and no sign-in, and the app has no network functions whatsoever, so it could not send anything even if it wanted to. Your captures stay where you made them.
